About sight: Jardin des Tuileries

The garden is separated from the Louvre by tunnel, built on the site of Palace de Tuileries, which was one of the main residences of Napoleon and kings in XIX century.

In 1871, in the time of Paris Commune, the palace was burnt down. The garden is 25 hectares. The Louvre is almost a kilometer of Place de la Concorde. There are very beautiful mazes of trimmed trees in the garden, as well as paths for romantic promenades.
