On Place du Terte you can them set up their easels there, or otherwise you can have a cup of coffee in one of the numerous cafeterias of Montmartre and enjoy the view of Paris.

Basilique du Sacré Cœur. White domes of this church located atop the Montmartre hill can be seen from almost any point in the city. Its height is 83 meters. It was founded in 1876 after the tragic events in the history of France, defeat of 1870 and battles of the period of Paris Commune. The church built by Paul Abadie is a combination of many architectural styles, Byzantine, Roman, Gothic, and Renaissance.

Montmartre Observation Deck. Near the basilique there is a nice garden stretching down to the foot of the Montmartre hill. It is a favourite place of all the Parisians and tourists as well, as there one can have the most wonderful view of the entire city. It is very pleasant to have a rest in the garden.

Place Blanche & Place Pigalle. You should take a stroll on these squares in the evening or even at night as they have the most active night life. The world-known cabaret Moulin Rouge is on Place Blanche. There are many various night clubs on both squares and in their vicinity. La Place Pigalle is also noted for its highly developed sex industry.

Place du Terte. You can not think of Montmartre without this square. A great number of impressionist painters used to live in the vicinity of this square. And even today you can see many street painters on the square. It would be interesting to have a stroll there.
