A resort city located 120 kilometers east of Antalya. Actually, the city closes the resorts of Antalya Riviera. The city itself is relatively large, so when choosing a hotel to stay at Alanya, you'd better stay somewhere outside the city. In the time of Osman's Empire, Alanya was an important port, so there survived strong defensive works.
It will be quite interesting to make a one-day tour to this city. Alanya features a strong fortress built by sultan Alaadin Kayqubad in 1226. In the port neighbourhood one can visit the Red Tower, and at the port itself one can join a pleasure boat excursion. The entrance of Damlatas cave is about 100 meters from the sea. This is one of the most beautiful caves in Turkey.
