Marsa Alam

About place: Marsa Alam

This very young resort began to develop only 10 years ago, when there was opened an international airport. Marsa Alam is located in the south of Egypt, on the coast of the Red Sea, 370 kilometers of Hurghada. The resort is a narrow strip of hotels stretching along the coast for several kilometers.

Marsa Alam has new, 5- or 4-star hotels, and it is cheaper to have a rest there than at the hyped-up resorts, such as Hurghada or Sharm el-Scheikh. This is due to that the resort has to attract vacationers. It should be noted that, in this regard, Marsa Alam is a very good al-ternative for all those who like all inclusive service, who are only interested in the high level of service and comfort. These tourists don’t like to go out the premises of their hotels, and in Marsa Alam there is nothing beyond the territory of the hotel.

Marsa Alam is also attractive as a place with good opportunities for diving. Within the coastal zone there are a lot of beautiful diving spots with luxuriant underworld. Furthermore, one should consider that Marsa Alam is the southernmost resort of Egypt, so, there one will have more chances to have a dip in the sea in winter than at the resort located 350-400 ki-lometers to the north.
