About sight: Wooden Architecture Museum

Considering the national value of Tomsk wooden architecture, it was quite logical to create a museum for its maintenance. The museum was given an Art Nouveau building, which is an example of Tomsk wooden architecture of the 19 century. The house was once owned by an engineer Kryachkov. It has a beautiful design of the roof and facade.
There are six exhibition halls in the two-floor museum. The museum collection numbers over 200 exhibits including such parts of the houses as cornices and pilasters, as well as many other pieces of exterior and interior decor. There one can find the collection of furnace iron casting manufactured at the well-known foundry works such as the one of A. Demidov in Kasli.
