Not far from the Federal Palace, on the rocky Bank of the river Aare, is the Casino of Bern. It was built in 1906 by architects Paul Lind and Max Hoffman in the neoclassical style. The decor of the facades of the casino is so magnificent that it looks like the famous casinos of Monte Carlo or Baden-Baden.

Nowadays, the Bern Casino is not used as a gambling house, so it is often called the" Cultural casino " (Das Kulturcasino). Various cultural events and performances of Symphony orchestras are held here.
