Cuisine of Costa RikaThe authorities of Peru and Costa Rica presented the plan to use national cuisine for increasing attractiveness of the countries for tourists, reports Geo Meridian portal.

This project provides for offering the dishes of Costa Rica national cuisine at hotels and restaurants. These dishes, based on combining the Spanish and Indian traditions, are cooked by the unique local recipes. Costa Rica Minister of Tourism believes the project will contribute not only to increasing the number of tourists but preserving the national cuisine traditions as well.

Moreover, the President of Peru, Ollanta Humala, has recently applied to UNESCO asking it to add the national cuisine of the country to the World Heritage List.
