15.11.2011 Peru tourist traffic up despite global crisis

The authorities of Peru are planning to increase the traffic of foreign tourists from 2,6 to 2,7 million people in the following year, which will be 14,5% better, comparing to 2010, reports Geo Meridian portal.

Next year the main tourist traffic will still be from the countries of South America, such as Brazil, Argentine and Colombia. This interest is due not only to the territorial closeness of the country, but the fact that these states were less affected by the global economic crisis, than Europe.

Besides, citizens of Russia who visit Peru for the period of 180 days with the purpose of tourism will need no visa.
