23.02.2012 Famous Italian gallery offers services for the blinds

Ufizzi Gallery (Florence) offers excursions for blind and visually impaired visitors, reports Geo Meridian portal.

Such visitors can "see" 16 original sculptures from the Medici Collection, including the "Sleeping Cupid" and "Sleeping Hermaphrodite", as well as some sarcophagi.

All blind visitors will be given special gloves, which they will need to put on before touching any work of art. Besides, all exhibits will be supplied with descriptive plates in Braille.
