28.03.2013 Tourists can`t enter Capri in their motor-cars in summer

The authorities of Capri and two other Italian islands will permit tourists to land on the islands with their motor-cars and even bikes, reports Geo Meridian portal.

This decision is taken every summer season and is conditioned by environmental protection requirements. The ban will last from the end of March through November. Violation of the ban will cost you over 1,5 thousand euros.

Capri Island has been and still is a resting place for the selected public. It was a favorite resting place of the Roman emperor Tiberius. One can still see the remains of his residence there.
