18.04.2013 Warsaw extends its public bicycle sharing system

Upgraded stations of public bicycle sharing system Veturilo resume their operation in Warsaw, reports Geo Meridian portal.

In this season Veturilo opened about a hundred new stations in different districts of Warsaw and increased the number of bicycles. This year there have been introduced the so-called electronic locks and online registration at the web-site of Veturilo. During the registration procedure you will have to enter your mobile phone number and make an advance payment of ten zlotys. The Warsaw Public Transport Authority prepared a special map with locations of bicycle stations and system usage guide.

For the first 20 minutes you can use Veturilo free of charge and the remaining 40 minutes will cost you only 1 zloty. The second and third hours will cost you 3 and 5 zlotys, accordingly. And finally, the following hours will cost already 7 zloty each.

Most excursions of Warsaw begin on the Castle Square. There's located one of the main and probably the most interesting sights of Warsaw – the residence of Polish kings, which was built after the capital was moved here from Krakow. Another tourist attraction of the city is the walls of the Barbican built at the end of 16 century for defense against the Turkish attacks.
