26.04.2013 Beaches become accessible for blind tourists in Latvia

Beach for the blind will be opened in the Latvian city Jurmala on May, 18th of the current year, reports Geo Meridian portal.

This will be the second such beach in Latvia. Relying on the experience of the first beach for the blind tourists, which was opened in Liepaja in the past year, this new beach will be equipped with beeping buoys. All tourists with weak eyesight will be given special bracelets making it possible to easily detect a man from the coast. Besides, all visitors of the beach can use the special stock including balls with beepers and chess.

Latvia is a European state located on the coast of the Baltic Sea. Its main resort is Jurmala, a small green city consisting mainly of hotels of different levels.
