In the central district of Yekaterinburg, near the City Pond and Dam, there are several interesting museums. If you are interested in history and art, then take a tour of the museums of Yekaterinburg. You can combine this route with the "Walk along Lenin Avenue" route.

Start your tour near the Yeltsin Museum. It is located on the northwestern shore of the City Pond, far enough from other museums. This Museum is dedicated to the first President of Russia Boris Yeltsin, who was originally from Yekaterinburg.  The museum has an interesting exposition dedicated to the modern history of Russia from the late 1980s to the 2000s.

The distance from the Lenin Museum to the Museum of Local Lore is 1.5 kilometers. We suggest not walking, but taking a taxi. In the Museum of Local Lore you will see an interesting collection of gifts that were given to the heads of the Soviet Union, as well as exhibits on the history of the Ural region.

The Museum of Fine Arts of Yekaterinburg is located opposite the Museum of Local Lore. You can see there collections of sculptures cast from iron, as well as processed stones from the Ural Mountains. There are also interesting paintings here. The Museum of Fine Arts is located in the Dam park area, so after visiting it, go to Lenin Avenue.

The distance to the next Museum of the History of Stone-Cutting Art is 800 meters, but it will be interesting for you to walk along the garden, where you can see giant blocks of stones that were mined in the Ural Mountains. It will be a good addition to the exposition of the Museum of Stone-Cutting Art. You will see there an exhibition dedicated to the jewelry art of processing semi-precious stones of the Ural Mountains.

After the Museum of the History of Stone-Cutting art, you can continue the theme of stones and walk to the Ural Museum of Stone. It contains samples of minerals from various deposits, not only from the Ural Mountains, but also from other regions of the Soviet Union.
