Ganya Pit - Middle-Ural monastery

An excursion to the northern suburbs of Yekaterinburg will allow you to visit two monasteries on the Serovsky Tract. Here you will see the Ganina Pit Monastery, as well as the Sredneuralsky Monastery.

The most interesting sights of Yekaterinburg are connected with the royal family of Nicholas II. Two places you must visit: the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, where members of the royal family were killed, and the Monastery of Ganina Pit, where their bodies were dumped in a mine.

The Ganina Pit Monastery is located 2 kilometers from the Ring Road at a short distance from the Serovsky Tract. After visiting the Ganina Pit Monastery, follow the Serov Highway 20 km north to the Sredneuralsky Monastery. It is located deep in a pine forest.
