A trip to lake Ritsa is the most popular excursion from Sochi. It is located among the picturesque rocky mountains of the Central Caucasus range. It is deservedly called the most beautiful lake in the Caucasus. Near the resort of Pitsunda, the road enters the gorge and goes 50 km along the Bzyb riverbed to the lake. This is the territory of the Ritsa National Park.
