Golden Ring of Russia

The Golden Ring is the most famous tourist route in Russia. It includes several small towns in the north-east of Moscow. If you want to see a real provincial Russia with ancient churches and golden domes, then you should take a few trips to the cities of the Golden Ring of Russia, located within a radius of 300 km. from Moscow.
 
The cities of the Golden Ring are located on two highways:
On Gorkovskoe highway: Vladimir and Suzdal
On Yaroslavl highway: Sergiev Posad, Pereslavl-Zalessky, Rostov Veliky, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, Ples.
 
Vladimir. Be sure to see two cathedrals: the Assumption Cathedral and the Dmitrievsky Cathedral. An important historical monument is the Golden Gate, as well as the Chamber Museum. 20 kilometers from Vladimir is Bogolyubovo, where you need to visit the Church of the Intercession on the Nerl, as well as the Bogolyubovsky Monastery.
