During this tour, you will be able to visit two of the most popular mud volcanoes of the Taman Peninsula, where it is convenient to take mud baths, and then relax and swim in the Sea of Azov.
Leave Anapa in the morning to visit the Hephaestus mud Volcano, and then the Tidzar mud Volcano. The first volcano is the most visited in the vicinity of Anapa. The cost of visiting is not very high, and there are several mud baths. Tidzar Mud Volcano is located on the shore of the Sea of Azov, but the entrance to the territory is quite expensive, and there is only one mud bath.
Hephaestus is located on Rotten Mountain, which towers over the city of Temryuk from the south-eastern side. The height of the mountain is only 60 meters and it is more correct to call it a hill. It consists of mud and has a flat dome on which you can see several dozen craters. Mud is spewing out of them with varying intensity.
The infrastructure on the mud volcano is quite simple, but there is everything you need if you come to receive mud treatments. In the three mud baths of the Hephaestus volcano, the mud has a different consistency. Not far from the changing rooms there are two mud baths with fairly liquid mud. At the very top, about 300 meters from the locker room, there are several more craters and the mud is very viscous there.
There is a small cafe here, so after taking mud treatments on Hephaestus volcano, you can eat here, and go back to Anapa. If you decide to visit two mud volcanoes in one day, then go to Tidzar as well. It is located 30 kilometers from Hephaestus.
A recreation area has been created near Tidzar on the basis of a four-star hotel. In addition to the mud volcano, there is a nice restaurant, as well as a cafe. There is a beautiful beach on the shore of the Sea of Azov. Children can play on the playground and visit the zoo.
