The Nile Corniche in Aswan is the city`s main promenade, its vibrant artery, and the best viewpoint. Stretching for several kilometers along the eastern riverbank, it offers panoramic vistas of the Nile`s turquoise waters, the green-covered Elephantine Island, granite cliffs, and the endless sands of the Libyan Desert on the opposite shore.
