Black sand beach in the Samursky forest

The black sand beach is one of the interesting attractions in the Samur forest. There are similar beaches with volcanic sand on the territory of Russia only in Kamchatka and Dagestan. If you are going to the Samur forest to see trees with lianas, then you should plan time for swimming on the Beach in the village of Primorskiy. Locals consider it one of the best beaches in Dagestan.

The village of Primorskiy is located in the Samur forest on the border with Azerbaijan. From here you can start an excursion deep into the forest to see the Trees in the Vines and the 800-year-old sycamore tree. However, many people come here just to swim. There are many guest houses in Primorsky where rooms are rented to tourists, although in general the infrastructure of the village and the beach is just beginning to develop.  

The tropical atmosphere of the Samur forest was formed in the delta of the Samur River. Before flowing into the Caspian Sea, it spreads into dozens of streams and several of them flow along the black sand beach near the Primorsky Fish Farm. One of the streams with clear and cold water flows along the beach, and then flows into the Caspian Sea.
