Bund Sightseeing Tunnel

The Bund Sightseeing Tunnel, opened in 2000, was China`s first pedestrian-transport tunnel connecting two of Shanghai`s most iconic areas: the historic Bund waterfront and the futuristic Pudong district with its skyscrapers. Stretching 646 meters in length and running 9 meters beneath the Huangpu River, this innovative passage was designed to alleviate congestion on bridges and ferries, providing a quick and convenient way to cross the river.
