The Central beach is located in the central district of Zelenogradsk. Due to its location, it is the most visited, as most of the hotels are also concentrated in the center of the village. The central beach is covered with sand and there is a gentle entrance to the sea, which makes swimming very comfortable.
The length of the Central Beach exceeds 1 kilometer. A powerful concrete structure of the Zelenogradsk Embankment has been built above it, which rises two dozen meters above the beach. Given the strong impact of the waves, a lot of breakwaters were made here in the 19th century from larch trunks. The distance between the breakwaters is small – about 50 meters.
The width of the Central beach is about 30 meters. It`s not much for a lot of people, but there`s usually enough space for everyone here. There are numerous cafes and restaurants on the waterfront. The water of the Baltic Sea is clean, including on the central beach.
