The Devil`s Bridge is a through cave, which was pierced in the rock by the Vorotan River at the bottom of the Vorotan Gorge. There is an asphalt road at the top. The width of the through cave is 60 meters, the length is 30 meters. The Devil`s Bridge is located in the middle of the road between the Tatev Monastery and the upper station of the Wings of Tatev cable car.

The Vorotan Gorge is often called the Grand Canyon of Armenia. It`s very beautiful. In some places, its width reaches 3 kilometers. The Vorotan River flows along the bottom of the gorge and in one place the river broke through a cave in the karst rocks. There are mineral water springs in this place, which initially created numerous cavities in the rock, and the Vorotan River later pierced a large cave in them.

Many tourists use the Wings of Tatev cable car to get to the Tatev Monastery. However, if you are going there by car, make a short stop near the Devil`s Bridge. There is a parking and a staircase that leads down to the cave. From the road to the Devil`s Bridge there is a path upstream of the Vorotan River. You will see several baths with warm mineral water. Its temperature reaches 40 degrees. There is a changing booth nearby.

It is impossible to go down into the cave itself because of the steep cliff, but you can look into it. A few meters below, you can see the rapid flow of the river among the large stones. The cave itself is not visible. Some daredevils climb down a rope down a sheer cliff to see the cave itself. In their blogs there are photos of calcium travertines, similar to those that can be seen in Turkish Pamukkale. However, it is extremely dangerous to do this because of the rapid flow of the Vorotan River.
