Frying Pan Beach is located on the east side of Zelenogradsk. This name appeared in the 19th century. Frying pans are secluded places in the sand dunes at the base of the Curonian Spit, which are strongly warmed up in the sun and protected from the Baltic wind. Thanks to this, you people sunbathe from the beginning of May until late autumn, even if the water in the Baltic Sea is cold.

In Zelenogradsk, Frying Pan Beach is located near the Grand Monopole Hotel. Zelenogradsk City Park stretches along the south side of the beach. There are no real hiding places in the dunes, like on the Curonian Spit. A high coastal dune rises above the beach. To get to the beach from the park, wooden stairs have been built, which you can use to descend the slope of the dune.

The width of the Frying Pan beach is small, about 30-50 meters. The beach is covered with sand, but at the entrance to the water in many places there are pebbles and even small stones. It`s not very comfortable for swimming. It is also very shallow here, so you need to go far enough from the shore to swim. Nevertheless, quite a lot of people from the surrounding areas of Zelenogradsk swim here.
