The Itlyatlyar waterfall is located in the village of Khunzakh next to the Tobot waterfall. These two waterfalls look very beautiful from the western slope of the Tsolotlinsky canyon. The distance between them is about 700 meters. The Itlaltyar waterfall is not as powerful as Tobot, but it is 15 meters higher, as it falls into the canyon from the topmost level of a sheer cliff.
The Itlyatlyar waterfall is most abundant in spring and early summer, when snow melts on the plateau. In summer, the Tirontlar creek dries up, and the waterfall is no longer so impressive. Its flow falls from the upper level of a twenty-meter sheer wall and then crumbles into splashes. When the Itlyatlyar waterfall is full of water, its stream is visible to the very bottom of the Tsolotlinsky canyon.
There are viewing points near the Itlyatlyar waterfall, which offer very beautiful views of the Tsolotlinsky Canyon and the Tobot waterfall. From the waterfall, you can walk along the eastern wall of the canyon. It looks very large here. The sheer cliff descends dozens of meters down. It looks very beautiful at sunset, as this side of the stone wall is illuminated by the rays of sunset.
