Jermuk sanatoriums are concentrated in the resort area on the right side of the Arpa River gorge. Four sanatoriums are located near the Seven Springs Lake. The Jermuk Drinking Gallery has been built on its shore. Other sanatoriums and hotels are located on the edge of the gorge.
On the southern shore of the lake, where a small river flows out of it, there are two of the most luxurious hotels in Jermuk: Grand Resort and Armenia. Both hotels are five-star. They offer medical treatments, as well as Spa treatments. Nearby on Stepan Shahumyan Street are located the Ararat Sanatorium, the Olympia Sanatorium and the Jermuk Ashkhar Sanatorium.
The building of the Grand Resort Hotel was built in 1936-40. It was the first and most luxurious sanatorium of the resort for those years. It was called "Jermuk". In 2015, Hyatt carried out a complete reconstruction of the building, making it a five-star hotel. The appearance in the style of the Stalinist Empire was significantly changed.
The building of the Armenia Hotel is located near the Drinking Gallery on the opposite bank of the Jermuk Tributary River. Between the hotels there is a small artificial Dolphin Lake. The Armenia Hotel was built in 1953 and has preserved its appearance in the style of the Stalinist Empire.
