The observation deck in the village of Dubki is the most equipped. Most tourists who do not want to walk along the paths along the canyon come here, and a few photos taken at the main sites of the canyon are quite enough for them.
The village of Dubki was built in the 1960s for workers of the Chirkeyskaya HPP. It is located at the highest point of the Sulak Canyon. The average height of the canyon is 1300 meters, but in the Dubki it reaches 1920 meters.
The main observation deck in Dubki is very extensive. There is a cafe here. People walk along the cliff for hundreds of meters in both directions. The Sulak River makes a very beautiful bend below. From some points you can see the Chirkeyskoe water reservoir.
In addition to the main observation deck, in Dubki there are other places where you can go to the edge of the canyon to see the river from other angles. One of these viewing platforms is located behind the garages in the northern part of the village. On the fence there is an inscription "Entry is Prohibited", but there is a passage between the fences through which people can pass to the canyon.
