St.John`s Cathedral

St. John`s Cathedral is the oldest Anglican church in Southeast Asia. Construction began in 1847, and it was consecrated on March 11, 1849. Built as the principal church for British colonial officials and military personnel, the cathedral was converted into an officers` club during World War II by Japanese forces but survived the occupation intact.
