Holy Trinity Church is located in the upper part of Ples on the Forecourt. The Church was built in 1808 at the expense of two local merchants, and is considered the oldest stone Church in Ples that has survived to this day.
Until the 20th century, the Trinity Church was located on the very edge of the Ples, so it was also called the front gate to the town. Troitsky Quarter was located in this area, and the road between Shuya and Nerekhta passed nearby.
Trinity Church is a summer cold Church with high vaults. A small Vvedenskaya Church was built nearby for winter services. A high three-tiered bell tower was built next to the Church. The Church and bell tower are built in the Russian Baroque style. Inside, there are paintings from the 19th century, made by masters from Saint Petersburg.
