House of Tvardovskiy in Shushenskoye

A small house of Tvardovskiy is an example of a poor peasant dwelling: the house properly, household buildings and a small kitchen garden. A well is in the yard of the house. There you can see the modest living conditions of the poorest people. 

The small house was built from the logs cut in the middle (for costs reasons). The seni is a separate part of to the house. If you enter the house from the seni, you will have a bed on one side of the entrance and a brick stove on the other side of the entrance. In front of the stove is a small area serving a kitchen. A gornitsa is to the right. But there you can also see some tools related with shoemaking, as Tvardovskiy was a shoemaker.  It is known that his family consisted of 14 people.
