Almost all the Beaches of Lake Sevan are located on its northwestern shore. The only road from Yerevan is laid to this place, so it is convenient for tourists to come here from the capital, although the natural relief is more important. The Vardenis mountain range rises above the southern shore of Lake Sevan, so the coast there is rocky, and the northeastern part of the lake opens into the Ararat Valley.

The most popular beaches are located near the Sevanavank Monastery. People come here to relax and see historical sights. To the south of the small peninsula where the temples of the Sevanavank Monastery are located is Gegham Beach. There are several recreation centers here. This area on the shore of the lake is the most developed. You can stay in hotels for a few days or buy a ticket and use the entire infrastructure of hotels, but do not stay there overnight. The Harsnaqar Resort is located in the same place. On its territory there is a sandy beach and a water park.

The Seven Up Inn Hotel is located on the northern shore of Lake Sevan, near the town of Tsovagyukh. This is one of the most famous resort hotels in Armenia, where people come for a beach holiday. However, here, as in other recreation centers, you can buy a ticket and use the entire infrastructure of the hotel without staying in it overnight. The beach of Lake Sevan in this hotel is one of the best. Near the beach there is a large swimming pool with a view of Sevan.

If you drive from Gegham beach 15 kilometers to the south, then between the villages of Chkalovka and Norashen there is the Noy Land Resort hotel, where there is also a beautiful beach on Lake Sevan. Even further away is the Tsovasar Family Rest Complex hotel, and the beach next to it is named "Turquoise Beach".

Further south, the rocky coast of Lake Sevan begins. There are no hotels or wild beaches here anymore, however, it`s worth driving along the coast to see the Hayravank Monastery. It is located 30 kilometers from Gegham Beach. At the southernmost tip of Lake Sevan (70 km from Gegham Beach) there is a small town of Martuni. Local authorities have made a beach area on Lake Sevan and several hotels. You can stay here if you are planning a trip south to the balneological resort of Jermuk or further to Goris to visit the famous Tatev Monastery.
