Start your trip to Pavlovsk with a visit to the Pavlovsk Palace. It is one of the most remarkable examples of early classicism. After that, take a walk in Pavlovsky Park. It is huge, but the most picturesque landscapes you will see in the valley of the Slavyanka River.
Near the Peel Tower, turn to the Rose Pavilion and follow the Triple Linden Alley back to the Pavlovsk Palace. After that, cross the road and go down to the Marienthal Pond. Walk along its shore to the BIP Fortress. Now it houses a hotel, but in the time of Paul I it used to be a real fortress.
Near the BIP Fortress, there is a small Local History museum of Pavlovsk, where you can get acquainted with the history of the city when it was the musical capital of Russia.
