The Etihad Towers complex is one of the most recognizable architectural landmarks of Abu Dhabi, shaping the modern image of the city. Five towers soaring into the sky along the western Corniche have become not just high-rise buildings, but one of the symbols of the UAE capital, its ambitions and aspirations for the future.

History of Creation and Architectural Appearance

Construction of this grand complex took place from 2006 to 2011 under the patronage of Sheikh Surour bin Mohammed Al Nahyan. The project was designed by the Australian architectural firm DBI Design, which created a beautiful ensemble. The architects drew inspiration from traditional Emirati motifs — the smooth lines of falcon wings, wind-filled sails, and elegant curves of ceremonial swords. These images were embodied in the futuristic forms of five towers, clad in glass and reflecting the sky and the waters of the Arabian Gulf.

The towers vary in height and function, but together they create a harmonious, dynamic composition. The tallest is Tower 2, reaching 305 meters and comprising 80 floors.

Etihad Towers is interesting not as an accommodation place, but as a multifunctional architectural complex that every visitor to the city should see.

Observation Deck at 300

The main tourist gem of the complex is the observation deck Observation Deck at 300, located on the 74th floor of Tower 2. This is the highest viewpoint in the UAE capital, offering a beautiful 360-degree panorama.

From a height of exactly 300 meters, a stunning view unfolds before you of Abu Dhabi`s gleaming skyscrapers, the endless Arabian Gulf, the famous Corniche waterfront, as well as the neighboring Emirates Palace hotel and the Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace. This is an ideal spot for panoramic photography and getting to know the city from a bird`s-eye perspective.
Anyone can visit the deck, even those not staying at the hotel. There is also a cozy café where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or tea while admiring picture-perfect views.

The Avenue at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers Shopping Gallery

On the lower levels of the complex lies the upscale shopping gallery The Avenue at Etihad Towers. This is not just a store, but a space for connoisseurs of high fashion and a luxurious lifestyle. It features boutiques of world-renowned brands such as Tom Ford, Kiton, Van Cleef & Arpels, Stefano Ricci, as well as the Diba and N2N Art Gallery art galleries. For everyday needs, there is a Monoprix supermarket, a pharmacy, and cozy cafes like Paul.

Gastronomic Hub at Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers

Etihad Towers is also one of the main gastronomic destinations in Abu Dhabi. The complex houses more than 12 restaurants and lounges, many of which have received prestigious awards. Here you can experience different flavors: from exquisite Lebanese cuisine at Li Beirut restaurant to authentic Italian at SOLE, from the creative fusion of Japanese, Brazilian, and Peruvian cultures at SUSHISAMBA to Spanish tapas at José by Pizarro. Special mention deserves Ray`s Bar on the 62nd floor — the highest bar in Abu Dhabi, where you can enjoy cocktails with a breathtaking view of the night city.

Cinematic Fame the Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers

The Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers complex is also well-known to movie fans. These futuristic towers became one of the main backdrops for the filming of the Hollywood blockbuster "Furious 7." In the famous scene, a supercar flies through the glass walls of three skyscrapers, and although in reality the towers are not connected, this episode forever cemented Etihad Towers` status as a movie star. The complex also appeared in the films "6 Underground" and "The Expendables."

Architectural Lighting

The complex looks especially impressive at night when the architectural lighting is switched on. The five towers glow in the darkness with a bluish light, reflecting in the waters of the gulf and creating a futuristic landscape.

Conrad Abu Dhabi Etihad Towers is a place that you definitely need to see with your own eyes. During the day, you can go up to the observation deck and view the city from a height of 300 meters, and in the evening, just take a stroll nearby and admire how beautifully the towers are illuminated. Here you can feel the spirit of modern Abu Dhabi.
