Alpaca Farm is located on the southern outskirts of the village of Arkhyz. Aviaries have been built here, among which there are not only alpacas, but also other animals more familiar to residents of Russia. At the entrance, you can buy a bag of chopped carrots to feed the farm pets and take pictures with them.
Alpacas are animals living in the highlands of the Andes in South America, at an altitude of more than 3,500 meters. The ancient Incas tamed alpacas, and they became pets for them, like sheep or cows in Europe.
Alpacas look very cute. The body is covered with thick fur, necessary for life high in the mountains. The muzzle is also partially covered with hair. The genetic relatives of alpacas are camels, but alpacas are much smaller in size. The height of alpacas at the withers does not exceed 1-1.5 meters.
Alpaca Farm is not just a zoo, but a place of rest. Many people come here with young children who enjoy feeding animals and petting them. In addition to alpacas, there are small sheep and lambs, deer, ponies and other animals on the farm in Arkhyz. A goat is very impressive, which stands with its hooves on the fence and poses with pleasure in a photo with visitors.
