The beach of the resort village of Yantarny is the main tourist attraction. It is interesting to visit the Amber Quarry and the Amber factory with a tour, and the only beach in Russia that has a Blue flag, tourists visit every day.

The blue flag is an international certificate of cleanliness and environmental friendliness of the beach. It is awarded only to the best beaches that meet strict criteria. The flag is flying over the beach "mine Anna". In the last century, there was an industrial extraction of amber, but in 1924, the mine was closed and its development flooded.

The width of the beach in the village of Yantarny reaches 100 meters. Along the beach at the foot of Becker Park, there is a wooden boardwalk that stretches for 2 kilometers. Most of it goes along the beach, but it is also laid over the water of the flooded amber mines of the first mine "Anna".

The entire beach of the village of Yantarny is covered with fine white sand. This is the pulp from the Amber quarry. Mining of rock in the quarry is conducted by a walking excavator. At 1 time, its bucket scoops up 20 tons of sand. Then the rock is washed out of the hydromonitor. Large pieces of amber are extracted directly in the quarry. The remaining mass (pulp) is sent to the enrichment sites, where fine amber is extracted. Amber is washed out by water from the Baltic sea. After that, the pulp (pure white sand) is drained back into the Baltic sea. Thanks to this process Yantarny has such magnificent beaches with the purest sand.

The entrance to the sea on the beach of Yantarny is flat, there is sand everywhere. The swimming season begins in June, when the water warms up to 20 degrees. Unfortunately, the Baltic sea is not very warm, so the bathing season here does not last long.
