Milan Cathedral (Duomo)

Milan Cathedral (Duomo di Milano) is the symbol of Milan, the largest cathedral in Italy, and one of the largest churches in the world. It rises in the very center of the city on Piazza del Duomo, and its pink-and-white Gothic spires are visible from almost any street. The construction of the cathedral lasted almost six centuries: work began in 1386, and the last details were completed only in 1965.
