The Epiphany Cathedral of the Uglich Kremlin houses the exposition of the Uglich Art Museum, where you can see icons, as well as a collection of portraits of burghers and merchants of the 19th century. The cathedral building was founded in 1812, but it was built only by 1814, after the end of the Patriotic War of 1812.

The Epiphany Cathedral was built in the classical style, which became widespread in the early 19th century. The cathedral has a long nave. It was built as a winter cathedral, since it was cold to conduct divine services in the Transfiguration Cathedral in winter because of its size.

After 1917, a cinema was organized in the Epiphany Cathedral, and the building was substantially rebuilt. Now the cathedral looks more like a secular, not a religious building. It houses a museum collection of portraits of Uglich residents of the 18th and 19th centuries. It is called "locals, residents, townspeople". Such portraits hung on the walls of living rooms in noble houses. In the Epiphany Cathedral you can also see a collection of icons of Uglich saints.
