The tour to the Gebiussa waterfalls is one of the most popular for all vacationers at resorts in the vicinity of Dzhubga and Gelendzhik. Teshebs river flows down a steep cascades mountain Gebius. There are paths and wooden bridges along the entire route, so the walk to the waterfalls will be very easy even for children.

The river`s name is Teshebs therefore these waterfalls are sometimes called Teshebskie. The route starts at the Parking lot on the M4 Dzhubga-Gelendzhik highway, near the resort of Arkhipo-Osipovka (entrance to the route is paid). The third waterfall “Lion” is just 1.6 km from the Parking lot. Please remember that by the end of July, the river Teshebs dries up and turns into a small stream.

The first waterfall on the Teshebs river is called the “Shoelace”. Its height reaches 17 meters. Water flows down the slope of the mountain in two cascades. Going up, you can admire the huge slabs of marl and small unnamed waterfalls. Then the path goes up to the most beautiful Gebiussa the waterfall “Grotto”. It is located in a picturesque grotto, where the walls are overgrown with moss. Drops of water flow through moss, and until June, powerful jets of water. The Grotto waterfall is very impressive. It is also called Vysotsky`s Grotto (Vysotsky is the famous Russia singer), as he liked to relax in the village of Dzhubga and often came to these waterfalls. Grotto waterfall can be called one of the most beautiful in the Caucasus mountains on the Black Sea coast.

The third waterfall is located at the top, above the Grotto waterfall. It is called the “Lion” waterfall (height 20 meters). The slope of the mountain, where the water jets fall, resembles the mane of a lion. You have to go up to it on a high mountain slope, and then go down into a narrow funnel. This place is sometimes called "The devil`s mouth", because from here, through a very picturesque narrow opening of marl rocks, the water falls down.
