Lake Eaglet is a small reservoir hidden in the mountains near the Sofia Valley in Arkhyz. However, the surrounding mountain landscape is so beautiful that numerous groups of tourists come up there every day. Lake Eaglet is located at an altitude of 2270 meters above sea level.

The route to Lake Eaglet begins in the Taulu Glade, near the bridge over the Sofia River. You can head to the lake on foot. In this case, the route length will be 3.6 kilometers, and the climb will be 670 meters. This is a very significant climb for such a short distance. Many tourists prefer to contact the drivers of off-road vehicles that will take you from the Taulu Glade to a small mountain plateau at the foot of the waterfall. There is a small cafe with local cuisine.

You will be taken by SUV for a short stretch of 2.3 kilometers with the steepest climb, and you will have to walk only 1.3 kilometers. However, even on this short stretch, several hundred meters you will have to climb a steep mountain slope. On the left you will see the cascading waterfall Eaglet Outpost. It is formed by a river that flows out of Lake Eaglet. After climbing the plateau, you need to walk another three hundred meters, and in the mountain hollow you will see a small pond with azure water. This is Lake Eaglet. It is also called the Secret Lake.

If you came to Lake Eaglet in the morning and have a desire to climb the mountain slope higher, then you can climb to Lake Malik. It is located at an altitude of 2370 meters. The distance from Lake Eaglet to Lake Malik is 1.2 kilometers. Lake Malik is surrounded by rubble and rhododendron thickets. It is no less beautiful than Lake Eaglet, but most tourists, after relaxing on the shore of the Eaglet, prefer to walk around its surroundings and return back.
