Lauer had the biggest house in Shushenskoye. The two-floor building with a mezzanine has a trading space and spacious residential rooms on the ground floor. Lauer was a deportee who throve on trade.

Now his house is occupied by an exposition devoted to the life of Lenin and Krupskaya in Shushenskoye. As is known, Lenin actively associated with like-minded persons in Shushenskoye.

In those years in Shushenskoye Engberg and Prominskiy lived  who were the same exiles as Lenin. In the neighboring villages some other fellow-fighters of Lenin lived:  G. Krzhizhanovsky, V. Starkov, А. Vaneyev and М.Silvin. They often came to Shushenskoye.
