The picturesque Millomeris waterfall and the Krios Potamos river gorge is one of the most famous in the Troodos mountain range. It is located near the village of Pano Platres. Usually tourists visit it when they go to the Troodos mountains from the southern side (Limassol, Larnaca, Ayia Napa).

Waterfall Millomeris is the highest in Cyprus. Its height reaches 15 meters. This river does not dry up even in the driest summer months, so you can plan a visit at any time, without fear that instead of a waterfall, you will see only small streams of a dried-up stream.

You can drive up almost to the waterfall itself. When you drive from Limassol, after the village of Moniatis, before the village of Pano Platres, you need to turn left on a small road down. The road is paved, so you can drive without problems. But in this case you will see only the waterfall Millomeris. It is beautiful. In a small rocky circus, you can see beautiful tree roots among the polished stones.

If you have time, it is better to park in the village of Pano Platres and then down the trail to get to the waterfall Millomeris. The length of the trail is only 1 mile away. On its way, there will be ascents and descents, but they are not difficult. The trail passes through a shallow canyon of the Krios Potamos river. The canyon walls are not rocky, but earthen. There is a very lush vegetation, close in appearance to the tropical: huge oaks, sycamores, cypresses, other trees and shrubs. In many places, vines and ivy hang from the trees. In general, a walk along this trail will be a great addition to visiting the waterfall itself.
