Olginka is a small resort located between Dzhubga and Tuapse. Administratively, it is a district of the city of Tuapse, whose territory stretches from Lazarevskoye to Dzhubga. There are many small hotels and guest houses in the resort, so it is quite crowded in Olginka during the summer season.

The Olginka resort is located at the confluence of the Tu River with the Black Sea. This river flows into the Olginsky Bay. In summer, the Tu River dries up almost completely, turning into a small stream. However, the embankment of the river in Olginka is made large. Tourists walk along it in the evening.

Like all small villages on the Caucasian coast, Olginka stretches along the river, perpendicular to the sea. The width of the village in the mountain hollow is about 1 kilometer, and it stretches 3.5 kilometers in length. In the village there are large sanatoriums "Olginka", "Gamma" and "Orbita", built in Soviet times. However, most tourists live in inexpensive hotels and guest houses.

The main attraction of Olginka is the Olginskaya Bay, bounded on both sides by low cliffs typical of the Middle Caucasus. On the west side of the beach is Cape Gryaznova, and on the east – Cape Tu. Pine and juniper trees grow on both cliffs.

The width of the Olginka beach is 1 kilometer. It is covered with small pebbles, comfortable for swimming. The sea water in the bay has a beautiful azure color. All this makes Olginka one of the best resort villages in “Big” Tuapse.

The Olginka Embankment is laid along the seashore near the beach. There are different cafes and restaurants here, so many vacationers come here in the evening. On the embankment there are children`s attractions and other infrastructure for recreation and entertainment. Near the Beach there is a Crocodile farm. There is a small water park in the center of the resort.

The village of Olginka was founded in 1864 as the location of the Shapsug coastal regiment, which guarded the Caucasian coast. Later, the need for coast guard disappeared, and Olginka began to turn into a beach resort on the Black Sea coast. The village was named Olginka after Princess Olga, the wife of Grand Duke Mikhail Romanov, who for a long time was the governor of the tsar in the Caucasus.
