Resort Boulevard in Zelenogradsk is the historical center of the Prussian resort of Cranz. Today, there is a 400-meter pedestrian zone where the historic buildings of the Prussian resort have been restored.
Resort Boulevard is 200 meters away from the embankment. Once this street was called Konigsberg Boulevard. Here were the most famous hotels and halls for entertainment of vacationers in the resort.
At the very beginning of Resort Boulevard of Zelenogradsk, the Post and Telegraph buildings, built of red brick in the German Gothic style, have been preserved. On the contrary, is located the City garden of the Queen Louise. Next is a very beautiful building number 25. This is a residential building, but its architecture with two half-towers, very beautifies the street. Wooden buildings with a bakery, pharmacy and souvenir shops have also been restored.
One of the most beautiful buildings on Resort Boulevard is the half-timbered Kurhaus. It was built in 1843 and was called the "Great Hotel and Kurhaus". In those years, the Kurhaus was called the main hotel of the resort, which was also the center of social life. There were concert and dance halls, a billiard room, and a reading room. Today, the Kurhaus is a hotel. In Soviet times, a monument to Lenin was erected in front of it.
