The territory of the Utrish Nature Reserve stretches from the village of Sukko to the village of Abrau-Durso, where the famous Abrau-Durso Champagne Winery is located. This territory is called the Abrau Peninsula. The length of the coastline of the Utrish Nature Reserve is 20 kilometers.

Until 2020, a tent camp of nudists and various informals was located on the territory of the Utrish Nature Reserve, despite the strict nature protection regime. Most of the tents were near the sea, but there were a lot of them in the depths of the juniper forests of the reserve. In 2020 a fire broke out in the reserve, 80 hectares of relic juniper forests burned out. After that, the installation of tents in the reserve was strictly prohibited, and even access to the reserve is now possible only as part of an excursion.

The most beautiful places on the seashore in the Utrish Nature Reserve are located near the village of Great Utrish. The protected area begins near Utrish Beach. Without an excursion, you can walk along the seashore in the Utrish Nature Reserve for 1 kilometer. The path goes along the shore, which rises 20-30 meters above the surf zone. When there was no ban, you could walk along all the lagoons for many kilometers. Now, at a distance of 1 kilometer from the village of Great Utrish, you will see large billboards where it is written that further passage is prohibited and a fine is due for violation.

From the place where access is allowed, you can see the mountain slope of the Navagir ridge, which descends directly into the sea. This place is called the "First Lagoon", and behind it you can see Cape Crocodile. In the First Lagoon there is a Pearl Waterfall. You can go there as part of an excursion organized by the staff of the Utrish Nature Reserve.

Behind Cape Crocodile are the Second and Third Lagoons, and between them is a “Picturesque Lake”. Further at the foot of the Bear Mountain is the Fourth lagoon. Previously, there were nudist beaches in all lagoons, where vacationers from the camp swam. Now access to these lagoons is closed.

You can see all four lagoons during a boat tour, which is called "Seaside". The ship sails from the pier of the village of Great Utrish and sails along the seashore of the Utrish Nature Reserve.
