3 kilometers from the entrance to Central Park are located the Sulfur Baths. They are open-air Pools. By its composition, the sulfur water in these pools is closer to the waters of the Abanotubani Sulfur Baths in Tbilisi than to Borjomi sodium bicarbonate water from a Source in Central Park. Sulfur water has a beneficial effect on the body when taking baths and Borjomi water is only for drink.
The road from the entrance to Borjomi Central Park to the Sulfur Pools is quite tedious. You need to walk 3 kilometers with a climb of more than 100 meters. In many places, the path is not equipped, and it is quite difficult to walk along it after the rain. Most people prefer to go to the Sulfur Pools by taxi. Platos Agmarti Street begins near the Kura Embankment, which runs along the Borjomi Mountain Plateau.
You can drive to the parking lot above the Sulfur Pools and go down the path. The distance from the parking lot to the pools is only 580 meters, but with a fairly significant height difference of 120 meters. If it has been raining recently, then it will be difficult to go down this path.
There are three pools with sulfur water in the Central Park. The water temperature in them is different. The temperature in the large swimming pool, where you can swim, is 26 degrees. In the pool, where people just lie, the temperature is 32 degrees. In the children`s pool – about 35 degrees. The entire necessary infrastructure has been created here so that after the procedures in the sulfur baths, you can then take a shower and relax.
