Victory Square is located on a small hill in the Lower Gunib near a rocky cliff. In the center of Victory Square in 1986, the monument "White Cranes" was erected. It is dedicated to 1,340 soldiers from the village of Gunib, who died during the WWII. The height of the stele reaches 27 meters. Sculptures of cranes flying into the sky are depicted on its top.

This monument was erected on the initiative of the Dagestan’s poet Ramsul Gamzatov. He was born in the village of Tsada, near Gunib. On the stone in front of the stele is a portrait of Ramsul Gamzatov and lines from his famous song about cranes.

Walking paths are laid around the monument in the park along the cliff. Famous Dagestanis from Gunib and the surrounding villages planted trees here. From the observation decks, there is a very beautiful view of the surrounding mountains with a layered structure, as well as the Andalal valley. Below you can see the loops of the road serpentine rising into the Gunib from the bed of the Karakoysu River.

Near the Victory Square, there is a local History Museum of the Village, where you can get acquainted with the History of Gunib. Most of the exposition is devoted to the Caucasian War of the 19th century, which lasted for more than 40 years. It ended in 1859, when Imam Shamil surrendered to Prince Baryatinsky in Upper Gunib. A huge portrait of Shamil, who is a national hero for Dagestanis, is painted on the rock that rises above Victory Square.
