Red Square is the most famous square in Russia. St. Basil's Cathedral and the Spasskaya Tower of the Kremlin are Symbols of Russia. Next to it is Manezhnaya Square. Red Square and the Kremlin were the first Russian landmarks to be included in the UNESCO World Heritage List in 1990.
Start your walk on Red Square from Nikolskaya Street. This street has become very famous all over the world since it was the main fan zone of the 2018 FIFA World Cup. On the right you will see the Kazan Cathedral, and on the left the long GUM building.
Take a walk around Red Square, see Lenin's Mausoleum. It can be visited in the morning. Walk to St. Basil's Cathedral. Then return to the Resurrection Gate. Visit the Historical Museum, then exit through the Resurrection Gate to Manezhnaya Square. There are also many attractions here.
Right in front of you will be the «Moscow» Hotel – one of the brightest examples of the Stalinist Empire style. At its foot, underground, is the Museum of Archeology of Moscow. The large red building houses the Museum of the War of 1812.
After that, go to the Alexander Garden. At the foot of the Kremlin wall is the Grave of the Unknown Soldier. Wait for the changing of the guard, which happens every hour. After that, take a walk to the Manezh. This building was built in 1817 without a single support inside. It used to host horse riding classes, and now hosts interesting exhibitions.
