Becker Park occupies an area of about 15 hectares in the village of Yantarny. It stretches along the coast for 2 kilometers in the Central part of the village. Like many other attractions, it was created on the initiative of Maurice Becker, so it is named after him.
The coastal terrace where the village of Yantarny is located rises above the beach by an average of 20 meters. Becker Park is located on this terrace. The owner of the amber mining plant, Maurice Becker, laid it in 1881 on the site of the old manor Park. There were lime trees, beeches, oaks, and chestnuts, the usual trees of the area. Four giant beeches near the Central alley have been growing since then.
The Park has a “literary-amber path”, along which various installations are installed. Locals and tourists love to walk along the alleys of the Park. In the center of the Park is the square – the Town of Masters, as well as the 5-star hotel Schloss. This house used to be the home of industrialist Maurice Becker.
The son of Becker travel was brought to this Park with rare trees from America and Japan: Japanese cercis, sithin spruce, the Weymouth pine. The symbol of the Park was a Tulip tree imported from North America. Every summer, it is covered with flowers that look like orange tulips.
