In 2015, a Cactus Park was created on the eastern outskirts of Ayia Napa on the rocky shores of the Mediterranean Sea. A year earlier, a Sculpture Park was opened here. Many sculptors created sculptures on the themes of ancient Greek myths and presented them to the city. After that, the city authorities decided to create a Cactus Park nearby, so that tourists walking among the sculptures could admire the cacti.

The area occupied by the Cactus Park and the Ayia Napa Sculpture Park reaches 20 hectares. Several thousand cacti, succulents and other types of drought-resistant plants grow here in the open air. The city authorities asked local residents to donate various types of cacti and succulents from their farms to the park, and they actively responded to this request. So near the Sculpture Park and the Bridge of Love, a new attraction has appeared which is visited by both city guests and local residents.

The Ayia Napa Cactus Park is considered one of the largest in Europe, with several thousand plants. It has walking paths and benches. It should be remembered that there are no shady trees in the park, so it is better not to come here in the midday heat. Most tourists come here in the evening. It is especially interesting to visit the Cactus Park in spring or late autumn, when many cacti and succulents are in bloom.
