Cape Alchak is located on the east side of the Sudak Embankment. There are sandy beaches and the Water World water park nearby. This is a beautiful place to walk after relaxing on the beach. An ecological trail encircles the entire cape. The length of the trail is 800 meters; you can walk along it in two hours, although some people stay in the bays of Cape Alchak for the whole day.
Cape Alchak is a small coral reef. Its height is 153 meters above sea level. In the Mesozoic era (about 200 million years ago) these places were covered by the waters of the ancient Tethys Ocean. Coral and compressed skeletons of mollusks formed reefs that rose during tectonic shifts. The same coral reef is the Fortress Mountain, where the Genoese fortress in Sudak was built, or the Falcon Mountain, towering over the Novy Svet resort.
The main attraction of Cape Alchak is the large through grotto of the Aeolian Harp. It is located near Sudak Beach. The through grotto was formed as a result of weathering. It was called the Aeolian Harp because of the sound that is heard in the grotto during gusts of wind.
There is an ecological trail for walking around Cape Alchak. The trail begins near the Suuk-Su River from the Sudak side. It goes along the seashore rising on a hill or descending to the sea. The water in the bays of Cape Alchak is very clean, which attracts divers here. A few kilometers to the east of Cape Alchak is located Cape Meganom – also a popular place for diving.
Another interesting attraction of Cape Alchak is the Devil`s Bridge. This is a small wooden bridge laid over the water along a sheer cliff. Nearby on the seashore you can see a blockage of large stones. This is one of the most beautiful places on Cape Alchak.
