Castle of St. Hilarion

St. Hilarion Castle is one of the most impressive sights of Northern Cyprus and, perhaps, the most picturesque castle on the island. It is located in the Kyrenia Mountains, about 10 kilometers west of the city of Kyrenia, at an altitude of about 700 meters above sea level. The castle spreads across several rocky peaks, and its walls, towers, and battlements literally grow out of the rocks, creating a silhouette that many compare to the castle from Disney`s animated film "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs."
